BY A STAFF REPORTER- A new highly contagious mutant strain of COVID-19 has spread in India and other countries, raising concern among scientists. The rapidly changing Covid-19 virus has spread to other countries, including India and the United States, giving rise to another highly contagious omicron mutation that worries scientists. Scientists say the 

variant, designated BA.2.75, can spread rapidly and bypass immunity from vaccines and previous infections. It is not clear whether it can cause more serious disease than other omicron variants, including the world-famous BA.5.
