Mamta Banerjee opens the Amarnath flood control room

Ananya Saha : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee conveyed his condolences on July 9 to the families of those killed in the Amarnath floods, assuring all kinds of assistance to those affected.

 
Ms Banerjee added that the control room - 033-22143526 - had been opened to the Nabanna State Secretary. At least 16 people have been killed as tents and community kitchens near a mud-soaked worship site have been set ablaze by torrential rains on Friday evening.
