Rajnath to arrive in Kolkata next week

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is coming to the state soon. The defence minister is scheduled to arrive in Kolkata on July 15. He will inaugurate a warship at Gardenreach Ship Builders in Kolkata. The P-17 Alpha group frigate warship will be inaugurated by the Defence Minister. A total of 7 frigates are being built with completely indigenous technology. One of these was inaugurated at Gardenreach last year by the country's late Army Chief Bipin Rawat. Gardenreach ShipBuilders has received the contract to build a total of three frigate warships. One of the three has already been inaugurated. One of the other two will be inaugurated on July 15. The third frigate will open next year. The construction of warships is now going on at a fast pace at Gardenreach Ship Builders. On the other hand, 4 more frigates of this tribe are being built at The Manjagaon Dock.
