Red alert issued in Mumbai

Heavy rain hits in Maharashtra. This has resulted in heavy traffic jams in Mumbai, Pune as well as Konkan. In such a situation, the meteorological department has once again issued an alert. Regional Meteorological Centre, Colaba, Mumbai has issued a red alert in the district for the next four days i.e. from July 5 to 9.







 Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the district during this period. Heavy rains have disrupted normal life in Mumbai. The area here has gone completely under water. Water supply was also reported at many places in Sion, Borivali and Kandivali. In Kolhapur, the water level of Panchganga river is rising due to the current rains.
