Manoj leads the race, Gangeswar, Adhir in fray for the next DGP in West Bengal

The state government has reportedly ``spoken at length'' with three senior IPS officers as hunt has begun to choose the next director general of police of West Bengal. The current DGP Virender retires at  the end of August. According to sources in the state home department, the three IPS officers who are among few senior most officers in West Bengal were called individually for discussion. According to sources close to chief minister Mamata Banerjee, she will either prefer Manoj Malaviya, the senior most officer in the state at the moment or between DG, EB, Gangeswar Singh and  DG, government railway police, Adhir Sharma.
