In a sudden development, the West Bengal police directorate has posted a deputy inspector general of police for “special law and order duty for 15 days”in Birbhum. According to a communique issued by additional director general of police law and order Javed Shamim, DIG civil defence Shyam Singh has been directed to report to Birbhum for law and order duty for fifteen days. Incidentally Shyam Singh was earlier posted as superintendent of police Birbhum for a considerable period of time.
