By A Staff Reporter :  Assam flooded by continuous rains. Flood situation has occurred in Agartala.It has been raining incessantly since Friday morning.It rained 145 mm in just 6 hours. Disrupted public life.Houses, farm lands from houses have been flooded. Submerged roads and railways. Isolated communication system. In this situation the school door is closed.Volunteers from NDRF, SDRF and Civil Defense are conducting rescue operations in the disaster. Chief Minister Manik Saha has directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps. CM said,"It's a natural disaster. NDRF and SDRF teams are working to handle the situation. "All the officials are working and we hope the situation will be brought under control."







On the other hand, Tripura State Disaster Management Programme Officer Sarat Kumar Das said, “As many as seven relief camps have been opened in different parts of Agartala city. The crash messages were forwarded as soon as we realized the situation could get worse. All district magistrates have been instructed to evacuate people from the low-lying areas with the help of civilian NDRF personnel and Tripura State Rifle jawans. ”He further said that relief camps have been opened at Radhamadhab Mandir, Indranagar School, Gitaban Community Hall, Kasmari School, Mula Para School, Das Para School, Pratapgarh School, MTB School. 36 children rescued from flood-hit school bus in Agartala.
