BY A STAFF REPORTER: Protests around the Centre's Agneepath scheme are taking place across the country. Several states including Haryana, Bihar have taken on the look of the battlefield. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh once again spoke about this scheme.
He said the 'Agneepath' project will give a golden opportunity to the youth to join the defence system and serve the country. On June 14, the Union Cabinet approved the recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the armed forces where those selected under the scheme will be known as Agniveer. Agneepath will allow patriotic and inspired youths to serve in the armed forces for four years.
