Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends Biotech Startup Expo 2022

By A Staff Reporter : Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Biotech Startup Expo 2022.Union Ministers Dr Jitendra Singh, Piyush Gayal and Dharmendra Pradhan also attended the function.Speaking at the inaugural function, the Prime Minister said,"The need for bio-products has increased in the country. India's first Biotech Startup Expo reflects the broad growth of the country's biotech sector. India's bio-economy has grown eightfold in the last eight years. India is not far from joining the top ten countries in the biotech global ecosystem. He added that the number of startups has exceeded 70,000 in 8 years. Of these, 5,000 are biotech startups. New initiatives have been launched in 60 primary industries.''​
