6 tourists killed when bus overturns in Odisha

By a Staff Reporter: Six residents of Udaynarayanpur in Howrah were killed when a tourist bus overturned in Odisha's Ganjam district. 25 injured people are hospitalized. According to local sources, a group of 70 people left for Odisha in a bus from Sultanpur village in Udaynarayanpur on Sunday. The tourist team was scheduled to visit Visakhapatnam. According to local sources, the tourist bus on its way to Andhra from Daringbari in Odisha lost control and overturned in Ganjam district around 12 pm last night. On being informed about the accident, police and fire brigade started rescue operations with the help of locals. The injured were rescued and first sent to a local hospital. The seriously injured were shifted to MKCG Medical College Hospital in Berhampur.
