BY A STAFF REPORTER: The date of the GTA polls was finally announced. The vote will take place on June 26. Counting of votes will take place on June 29. The notification will reportedly be issued on May 27. This was announced by the divisional commissioner after an all-party meeting on Tuesday. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee had come on a tour of the hills to play spoilsport for the GTA elections. He held meetings with all political parties in the hills.
