​BY A STAFF REPORTER: Massive flood hits Bangladesh. The flood situation in Sylhet, Bangladesh has deteriorated drastically. In most parts of the city, flood water has entered homes. All the upazilas have been flooded with water and heavy rains. The banvasi people are in untold suffering. Flood water is flowing everywhere in the house and outside. Many people could not go to the shelter for the safety of their homes. There is a shortage of food or clean water in the house. On the other hand, the food stored in the house has also run out. Many have also complained that the flood affected people are not getting adequate relief. Especially in the beginning, the flood victims are in dire straits. Roads have also been submerged in flood waters in various areas of Sylhet district. This disrupts road connectivity. Four people have died in Sylhet so far due to floods and rains. Electricity connections to 5 upazilas have been cut off. A power sub-station is closed due to waterlogging. 7,000 educational institutions are closed.
