BY A STAFF REPORTER: Assam is virtually turning into a rubble due to severe floods. Public life there has been devastated. The number of deaths and disappearances is increasing. Thousands of people have become homeless. Nine deaths have been reported so far. A portion of kampur-kathiatali link road in Nagaon district was washed away in the floods. Several parts of the state are flooded.
