'Ashani' is coming in Bangladesh

By a Staff Reporter: Cyclone Ashani will hit the coastal areas of Bangladesh. Cyclone Ashani will hit the southern district of Satkhira in Bangladesh via Orissa and West Bengal in the north-east. A cyclonic system developed near the Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean on Wednesday. It will be converted to light pressure by May 9. Then gradually it will take the form of obvious pressure or low pressure. Then on 11th May it will change to low pressure and from low pressure to deep depression and cyclone. The cyclone has been named 'Ashani'.
 The government has started work in the coastal areas of Bangladesh. Everyone in Bangladesh is alert now. Later, the Bangladesh government will take action according to the cyclone situation. There are 7,000 shelter houses in the coastal areas of Bangladesh, school colleges and other buildings will be used if necessary. State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief said this after a meeting on pre-cyclone preparedness at the Secretariat in Dhaka on Thursday. Md. Enamur Rahman.
