Jawan martyred in an encounter with Naxals

Narayanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadanand Kumar told the media that a District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawan was martyred in an encounter with Naxals in the forest near Mungari village on Wednesday. He added that a clash broke out between the two sides in a forest in Tulargufa-Mungari area under Chhotedongar police station area this morning. The security personnel had information that some Naxals were hiding in the forest. When they went to search, the Naxals opened fire on them. One jawan was martyred in the incident.
