Mann Govt. withdraws security cover of 184 persons, who are in the list?

By A Staff Reporter : The Punjab government has withdrawn the security of 184 former ministers, MLAs and private protectees based on the current threat assessment.Among the leaders whose security has been withdrawn are former ministers Bibi Jagir Kaur, Madan Mohan Mittal, Surjit Kumar Rakhra, Sucha Singh Chhotepur, Janmeja Singh Sekhan, Tota Singh and Gulzar Singh Ranike.The security of the families of former chief ministers and ministers has also been withdrawn.The families of former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Amarinder Singh's son Raninder Singh will also lose their security.Rajiv Shukla, a former MP and former IPL chairman, is another prominent leader whose security has been taken away. Mahi Gill, who was the BJP's star campaigner in the Punjab elections and the son of former DGP Siddharth Chatterjee, will also lose the security cover.
