Helicopter carrying Columbia's President under attack near the country's border with Venezuela

Suspected leftist rebels fired and hit the helicopter carrying the president of Colombia as it flew near the border with Venezuela. President Iván Duque was flying toward Cúcuta in the Norte de Santander province, with the defence minister, interior minister and the province's governor when the copter came under attack. A presidential spokesperson said nobody had been hurt in the incident. The leftist National Liberation Army (ELN) operating in the Catatumbo region, which spans the Colombian-Venezuelan border is suspected to be behind the attack..
