The government will provide 300 units of electricity for free

By A Staff Reporter : The Punjab government completed one month of coming to power on Saturday.

A big announcement is made on that occasion.300 units of electricity will be provided free of cost.According to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's announcement, "From July 1, every household in Punjab will get 300 units of electricity per month for free. 800 units for two months. BC, BPL, freedom fighters' families used to get 200 units of electricity for free, now they will also get 300 units." The Chief Minister further said, "Households which consume more than 600 units of electricity in two months, for example, 640 units or 845 units, will have to pay only for additional 40 or 45 units." The government has also waived the outstanding electricity bill till December 31, 2021. The Chief Minister has also dispelled rumors of subsidized power supply to farmers. "Rumors are being spread, but they are not true. The supply of subsidized electricity to farmers will continue as it is," he said.
