By A Staff A Reporter : On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 108-foot Hanuman statue at Morbi in Gujarat via video conference.The idol has been placed on the west side of Bapu Keshbanandaji's Ashram in Morbi. In a tweet on Saturday morning, the Prime Minister said, "Today, we are celebrating Hanuman Jayanti. A 108-foot statue of Hanumanji will be unveiled at 11 a.m. in Morbi. I am honored to be part of this program through video conferencing. ” Wishing Hanuman Jayanti, he said, "Symbol of strength, courage and restraint - on the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman, greetings to all the countrymen. By the grace of 'Pawanputra', may everyone's life always be full of strength, intelligence and wisdom." Earlier, a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office on Friday said that the statue was the second of four to be erected across the country as part of the Hanumanji Char Dham project. The first statue in the project series was erected in 2010 north of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.
