Spread Happiness Foundation has become the backbone of Dadan workers

Bhubaneswar ( 15/4): In Kerala, the body of a dead Dadan worker was taken to his ancestral village in Sorada block on 15th Apr 2022.The current Dadan problem is a major problem.Immigrants who leave their homes and live abroad to work for their livelihoods are sometimes tortured and their lives are lost in accidents. At such a critical juncture,Spread Happiness Foundation an expatriate Oriya voluntary organization formed by the efforts of Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, a young man from Bellguntha,stood by the Dadan workers and repeatedly extended a helping hand to both the state government and the district administration.
The body of Kalu Nayak, a resident of Badbadangi village in Sorada block, who lost his life in a road accident on 20th February 2022, with the help of our organization, was transported to his hometown from Ernakulam,Kerala. According to sources, a 23-year-old man named Gandhi Patra of Asurbandh Panchayat in Sorada block was seriously injured when he fell into a pouring machine while working as a day laborer in Kerala and died while undergoing treatment. Gandhi's body was flown from Kerala to Bhubaneswar by air with the help of the Odisha government and the Ganjam district administration. Many members,including Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra,Chairman of Spread Happiness Foundation and Janakiballav Patnaik a young volunteer from Sorada,were helped in depart the body of late Gandhi and offered condolences to the bereaved families.
The efforts of the Government of Odisha and the Government of Kerala and Spread Happiness Foundation, which brought the dead body of the deceased to their ancestral village in such a tragic state, have been widely praised.
