The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam spoke PM Modi over the telephone

By A Staff Reporter : Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, spoke by telephone on regional and global issues of shared interest, including the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and the situation in the South China Sea, according to foreign ministry sources.The Prime Minister reiterated the importance of Vietnam as an important pillar of India's Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific Vision and sought to work for rapid progress on existing initiatives as well as increase opportunities in bilateral relations.
