By A Staff Reporter: President Ramnath Kovind has visited Turkmenistan.The Presidents of India and Turkmenistan discussed bilateral and international concerns, said Sanjay Verma, Foreign Secretary of Turkmenistan.He further said that a total of four MoUs have been signed between the two countries.The two countries have signed agreements on culture, disaster management, youth issues and financial intelligence. They focus on issues under the newly established Indo-Central Asia framework.Connections for commercial purposes are also discussed.President Kovind also invited the President of Turkmenistan to visit India.The two also discussed investments in various sectors such as energy, pharmaceuticals, petroleum and natural gas.Afghanistan was also discussed along with the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking and women's protection, including a review of the North-South Corridor, the Ashgabat Agreement and the significance of the Iranian port of Chabahar to boost trade with India and Turkmenistan.
