CBI takes over Rampurhat mass murder investigations: Senior IPS officers, TMC leaders under scanner

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The CBI has taken over investigations of the Rampurhat mass murder case. The special crime unit (SCU) of the Kolkata branch of CBI will probe the case. According to a senior CBI officer the team will reach Ramurhat by tomorrow. ANM News exclusively spoke to the CBI officer in Delhi who mentioned that they will seek cell phone call details of the victims and the police officers. ``The call details of political personalities connected with the case. We will also examine the cell phone records of Bhadu Sheikh and his family,'' the senior CBI officer added. CBI will also examine case diaries and records of Rampurhat police station pertaining to this case along with call details of police officers. Sources in the CBI mentioned that senior police officers including superintendent of police, Birbhum is under the agency scanner.
