Hijab can't be worn in schools and colleges, says HC



BY A STAFF REPORTER: Amid hijab row, The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday delivered an important verdict on the Karnataka hijab dispute. The High Court has dismissed petitions challenging the hijab ban verdict in schools and colleges. The court in its judgement said that wearing the hijab is not a part of the mandatory practice of Islam.



Recently In the Karnataka High Court, the girls of Udupi had filed a petition seeking permission to wear hijab in schools. The court dismissed the girl students' plea and HC said that students cannot refuse to wear school dress.
