By Chandrayee Roy Choudhury, Canada: There was some turbulence at Calgary International Airport Tuesday as a system outage impacted airport operations. The outage affected many of the airport's operations including delaying flights and baggage handling, but as of 4:05 p.m., the airport tweeted that its teams successfully addressed the system outage and resumed normal operations. Earlier in the day officials said extra teams were brought in to perform the work manually with the hope of minimizing disruptions to guests. The outage took down the airport's website for several hours, but it has since been brought back online. On Twitter, passengers had reported long lineups to get through to security and lengthy delays elsewhere in the airport. The cause of the outage has not been released.
