COVID-19 HOSPITALIZATION IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO AT ITS LOWEST SINCE 2021

According to Principal Medical Officer of Health Dr. Maryam Abdool- Richards, Trinidad and Tobago is now seeing its lowest hospital occupancy as well as ICU occupancy.

Despite this, she said that those hospitalized are those severely ill. This at Saturday’s Ministry of Health media briefing where she noted that this is not so much of a significant downward trend.

Dr. Richards noted a similar trend in the accident and emergency as there has been a significant decrease from over 200 patients to 39.

For months the Ministry of Health has been warning persons against showing up to the hospital too late, to treat with covid-19. Dr. Richards said the situation have improved as persons have been coming in at an earlier time…
