Before Assembly election, huge drug-weapons recovered from Punjab

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Before Punjab Assembly election, encounter occured in Punjabs border area. The BSF in an encounter seized 47 Kgs of heroin along with arms and ammunition from Chandu Wadala post in Gurdaspur. BSF DIG said that, A soldier was also injured. He was injured in an exchange of fire with Pakistani smugglers along the Indo-Pak border in Punjab's Gurdaspur district on Friday, and the force recovered 47 kg heroin, two pistols and some ammunition, police said. The incident took place at 5.15 am in an area falling under Chandu Wadala border outpost.
