By a Staff Reporter: Studies have shown that the Omicron variant can live on human skin for up to 21 hours. In addition, studies have claimed that omicrone can live in plastic for up to 8 days or 192 hours. For this reason, the researchers claim that Omicron is much more infectious and spreads faster than other variants of corona. Researchers also worked on other variants in this study. It has emerged that the alpha, beta, gamma and delta variants of corona live on plastic for 191.3 hours, 156.6 hours, 59.3 hours and 114 hours respectively. Omikron lives there for 193.4 hours. Alpha is also alive on the skin for 19.6 hours, beta 19.1 hours, gamma for 11 hours, Delta 16.8 hours, and Omicron for 21.1 hours.
