NDA government continues to increase the prices of petrol, diesel, essential commodities on all time high

Centre once again increased prices of petrol and diesel giving fillip to the Opposition campaign of anti people policies of Centre. The prices of petrol and diesel almost touched Rs 100 per litre in Kolkata and crossed the century mark in Mumbai. The fuel price rise has also increased prices of essential commodities, vegetables and food items. But why there is a price rise over the last six months?  Senior officials in Indian Oil and Hindustan Petroleum claimed that they are clueless. ``We have been asked to raise the prices and we are doing it. There is no immediate demand for the price rise and it is a decision taken by policy makers and higher ups in union government,'' he said.
