OROPOUCHE WEST MP CALLS ON T&T’S WORKS MINISTER TO REPAIR ROADS URGENTLY

By a Staff Reporter: Member of Parliament for Oropouche West, Davendranath Tancoo has once again renewed his calls for Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan to visit the Southland and witness first-hand the deplorable conditions of the roadway, particularly parts of the San Francique Main Road.

Mr Tancoo identified Pluck Road San Francique, at the Santa Cecelia Trace Landslip, as one of the worse landslips on the roadway. He said some 3 months ago the issue was highlighted but between then to now, no priority has been given to the residents

According to Mr Tancoo, the area is nearly impassable and in desperate need of repair, noting that there is the possibility of it getting worse, should it happen to rain. He said previous pleas to the Minister resulted in temporary patch works, which is not enough; he is therefore calling on the Minister to repair this ROAD URGENTLY.
