State government urges people to exercise caution as Omicron cases rise rapidly

Please exercise caution as coronavirus cases are rising rapidly, advised health secretary NS Nigam. Speaking to ANM News over phone, health secretary mentioned that number of cases are expected to rise to around 2000 in the next 48 hours, a quantum leap from an average of 500 cases per day. The state government has advised people to tone down the revelry on December 31 and January 1. “We have updated facilities in all hospitals and are ready to treat patients,” said a senior health department official.
