The farmer's mud house caught fire

By A Staff Reporter : Mud house burnt down by fire on Tuesday night. The incident took place in Sholageria village of Dewanchak gram panchayat of Ghatal police station in West Midnapore district.According to administration and local sources, the fire broke out in the barn of Murshed Ali, a resident of Sholageria village, at around 11pm on Tuesday and later spread to a mud house next to it. The fire spread quickly, even to a house with a thatched roof. After receiving the news, the engine of Ghatal fire department and the police of Ghatal police station reached the spot. Although the fire did not cause any damage to the members of the house, the whole house was burnt down, and the accessories of the house were destroyed.Murshed Ali is a marginal farmer by profession. 8 members of his family lived in that mud house, which is now burnt down. The cause of the fire is believed to have been smoke from Murshed Ali's barn to repel mosquitoes.
