Ranajit, Szarita appointed Congress secretaries

By a staff reporter: Congress appointed Ranajit Mukherjee and Szarita Laitphlang and Tejinder pal Singh Bittu as the new party secretaries. Incidentally Ranajit is the son of former Kolkata police commissioner Prasun Mukherjee while Szarita has been a long standing youth leader of Meghalaya. According to Congress sources, Rahul Gandhi is trying to infuse new young blood in the team to infuse dynamism in functioning in key states. While Szarita and Ranajit will look after Sikkim, Nagaland and Tripura, Bittu will be responsible for Himachal Pradesh. They will assist the party in-charge of these states.​
