BY A STAFF REPORTER: It is a win for democracy, claimed chief minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee after her party crushed the Opposition and cruised to a landslide victory in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation polls. ``Elections were peaceful and held in a cordial atmosphere and people of Kolkata have rejected the other national parties like the BJP, Congress and CPM,'' she said in her first victory speech. The Chief minister thanked the people of Kolkata for ensuring a TMC victory.
