​Calcutta Club elections: mother of all innovative campaigns

It's slowly turning out to be the mother of all elections. And professional politicians could well take a leaf out of their innovative campaigns. The elections to the more than century old Calcutta Club, slated for December 23, is churning into a pot boiler. Whispers among the prominent personalities of Kolkata indicate that the most watched elections have a straight fight for the President. A senior Calcutta Club member, Kasturi Raha who has served in various committees earlier has thrown a challenge to the popular nominee Indranil Ghosh. According to a few Calcutta Club members, Ghosh has come through the existing committee and was an automatic choice as the next President till Kasturi Raha threw her hat into the ring.
