BY A STAFF REPORTER: After the sudden death of chief of defence staff Gen Bipin Rawat, union government has decided to appoint the current army chief Gen MM Naravane as his successor. Gen Rawat, his wife Madhulika and 12 others died in the fatal accident when their Mi17 V5 helicopter crashed in Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu.
