By A Staff Reporter : India has contributed to the establishment of democracy in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has made rapid progress on the path of development which is an inspiration to the rest of the world. This was stated by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh while addressing a function at India Gate to mark the historic victory of India in the 1971 war and the 50th anniversary of India-Bangladesh friendship. Though the day was supposed to be celebrated with pomp and circumstance, it was decided to observe the day simply after the death of CDS General Bipin Rawat, who was killed in a helicopter crash.
