TOBAGO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY CHIEF SECRETARY RE-ALIGNS DIVISIONS AND ASSIGNS SECRETARIES

By a staff reporter: With the aim of streamlining the Tobago House of Assembly in a more appropriate manner, THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine has made some changes to the divisions in the THA such as its assigned areas and realignment of duties.
At a media conference on Friday, he made it clear that he is not attempting to erase what was done before by the PNM administration. One of the major divisions being known as the Division of Health Wellness and Family Development has now been changed to the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection with Dr Faith B. Yisrael as Secretary. He also detailed some changes made to the then Division of Food Production, Forestry and Fisheries.
Mr Augustine also confirmed that he will be taking the role of Secretary of the Division of Finance, Trade and the Economy.
He gave assurances that there will be no loss of jobs due to these re-alignments. Staff will just be re-aligned back to the relevant divisions.
