COVID-19 CASES CONTINUE TO INCREASE IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO’S COUNTY CARONI AND ST. GEORGE EAST

By a stuff Reporter: Geographic Information Systems Manager at the Epdemiology Division Roshan Seeramsingh on Wednesday broke down counties and communities where covid-19 cases are at its highest and also…its lowest.

According to Dr Seeramsingh at the Ministry of Health’s media briefing, St George east continue to show the highest number of cases but 32 communities in County Caroni are what he called uptrend communities. He reminded persons that these communities with continued increases in numbers are due to them being highly populated.

He said almost half of the cases mapped between October and November were mapped in uptrend areas.

However, Nariva/Mayaro maintains its low number of cases. In fact, that county has been recording the lowest number of cases in the country.
