Again expressing his concerns for healthcare workers and their wellbeing, Trinidad and Tobago’s Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh gave some details of what his ministry has been doing to deal with the mental and physical strain they are currently under due to the drastic increase in covid-19 infection.
At Saturday’s Ministry of Health Media Briefing, the minister listed just some measures including one on one counseling, psychological first aid, recruitment of more staff, maintaining the allowance of leave provisions, additional day offs and even Christmas shopping days.
He added that there are also Christmas events being held throughout the Regional Health Authorities but Minister Deyalsingh noted that this does not take away from their current workload.
