An international controversy broke out following travel bans imposed by various countries on omicron virus affected regions. People across the globe have taken to social media and micro blogging sites to point out discriminations. According to one social media post, Canada has imposed a travel ban on a list of countries where there are hardly any cases of omicron virus whereas European countries indicating the rise in such cases have been kept outside the purview.
