BJP on backfoot in KMC polls: party insiders

BY A STAFF REPORTER: BJP has given a literal walkover to the TMC in the KMC polls, according to several independent observers monitoring the elections. A section of saffron party insiders even admitted that BJP has conceded defeat even before the first ballot has been cast and might draw a complete blank in the election. ``We may not win a single seat in the KMC polls,'' a senior party leader told ANM News. There are no new charismatic faces in the list of candidates declared by the party. Many of the candidates have been contesting the polls over the years and constantly rejected by the Kolkata voters. Political observers claimed that party leadership has not made any homework on the candidates and their ability to give a fight to the TMC.
