India- Bulgaria bilateral relations build the future: Her Excellency Mrs. Eleonora Dimitrova

Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata, organized a talk on ‘India-Bulgaria- Opportunities in Higher Education’ on 24th November 2021 which was addressed by Her Excellency Mrs. Eleonora Dimitrova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to India. Her Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Iliya Dekov, Minister Plenipotentiary - Head of Trade and Commercial Section, New Delhi and Shri Vishambhar Saran, Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in Kolkata and also the Trustee of Kalyan Bharti Trust and Chairman, Heritage Law College. The day started with a tree plantation drive graced by Her Excellency Mrs. Eleonora Dimitrova in the presence of Shri Saran and other faculty, staff and students of Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata.

In her talk, Mrs. Eleonora spoke about the bilateral relations which India and Bulgaria have established and how this cooperation will help to build the futureof both the countries. She was impressed by the presence of the students and faculty members at Heritage and appreciated the way the Group is working for a mission to create broad minded and creative leaders to meet the challenges of a global society. “This is what we need today and this is what I see when I look at the children today. I see the future of the Country,” said Mrs. Eleonora during her address at Heritage. Moreover, she spoke about the opportunities of higher education in Bulgaria for the Indian students and how education can further prosper for both the countries through mutual tie-ups.

“The biggest achievement in particular from my meeting with you would be if one day you sit and discuss studying abroad, an option for you, you might remember this meeting today considering Bulgaria as an option for study abroad,” said Mrs. Eleonora while concluding her talk. In his welcome address, Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Principal, Heritage Institute of Technology, elaborated on the long-standing relationship between Bulgaria and India. Apart from explaining collaborative initiatives between Heritage & Bulgaria, Shri P.K.Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, also spoke of the need of hand-holding and how local and global vision could come together to implement the objectives of NEP into reality on a global scale. The vote of thanks to Her Excellency was given by Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal, The Heritage School. More than 200 students from all the six institutions under Heritage Group were present in this interactive session exploring various opportunities for higher education in Bulgaria.
