 DVC is not responsible for releasing water from dams which often leads to floods in surrounding areas. The power generation company is slowly turning to diversification and has drawn up extensive plans to promote tourism in Maithon and Panchet area in West Bengal and Jharkhand. The chairman of DVC Ram Naresh Singh made these sensational disclosure during a candid chat with editor-in-chief of ANM News, Avijit Nandi Majumdar.
