BY A STAFF REPORTER

The state director general of police, Manoj Malaviya has sought a report from the Inspector general of police, North Bengal on the spat between IPS officers. ANM News was the first to report, quoting highly placed sources in state police headquarters that DIG Jalpaiguri Range, E Anappa had allegedly complained against two SPs, accusing them of encouraging illegal activities. Sources had also informed that the two SPs, both senior IPS officers, in turn had allegedly raised strong objections to Annapa's ``unwarrented and undue'' interference. State police directorate sources informed that Malaviya enquired in details from IGP, North Bengal, DP Singh.
