IPS officers Suman Bala Sahoo, P Niraj Nayan permitted to go on central deputation

The West Bengal government has decided to permit Suman Bala Sahoo, Director General of telecommunications and Pandey Niraj Nayan, DG, Fire Brigade to go on central deputation. According to information available with the union ministry of home affairs, Sahoo and Pandey's name figure in the list of officers on offer for central deputation for the year 2021. Incidentally, Sahoo and Pandey were in running for the post of state director general of police but Mamata government decided to go by the rule book and appoint the senior most IPS officer of the state, Manoj Malaviya as the West Bengal police chief.
