TMC hopes to cash in on resentment against Biplab Deb in Tripura

TMC is making a desperate attempt to fill up the political vacuum in Tripura, amid growing reports of intense dissent within the BJP against chief minister Biplab Deb. ANM News sources confirmed that many BJP dissenters and leaders unhappy with the current disposition are in contact with the TMC leadership. West Bengal law minister, Moloy Ghatak. Education minister Bratya Basu and trade union leader Rwitabrata Banerjee are in Agartala to test waters along with members of IPAC. Officially, they were given a hostile welcome, but many BJP leaders including ministers spoke to them over phone and confirmed that they are keen to switch sides. Sources told ANM News that if BJP persists with the hugely unpopular Biplab Deb as chief minister, there are chances of a massive erosion in the saffron party.
