International Happiness Day celebrated by Pragyan and Divine Bliss Foundation

International Day of Happiness is celebrated since 2013 by U.N. in 193 countries around the world.

It is celebrated to creat awareness about the importance of Happiness for the holistic development of individuals and societies. Happiness releases the special chemicals in the body which is good for physical, mental and social health. The theme for this year for the Happiness Day is “Keep Calm, Stay Wise and Be Kind”.

    On this occasion Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Director of Divine Bliss Foundation said that “Happiness is the first and last goal of all human beings. It is our true nature and also our birth right”. He has also introduced a course on Happiness for the teachers and professionals to become a Happiness Coach. This course consists of the programs such as Ananda Dhara (The Fountain of Joy), Stress Management and Relaxation Techniques (SMART), Yoga, Meditation, Practice of Gratitude and Forgiveness, Kindness and Compassion, Resilience, Laughter Therapy, Emotional Regulation etc.

Several dignified people such as Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister, Delhi, C.V. Ananda Bose, Governor of West Bengal, Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister, Kerala, Dr. Karan Singh, Former Minister of Education of India, Hemant Soren, Chief Minister, Jharkhand and many others have sent their good wishes on this occasion. Happiness was spread by distributing food packets among the under privileged people in Kolkata’s sub-urban areas, today on this occasion.
