Will East Bengal club sign the draft agreement with investor Shree Cement ? Are the office bearers going to resign taking moral responsibility for bringing the club to such a state of affairs? With Opposition non-existence there has not been any elections and the same set of office bearers have continued to hold sway over the last several years. Hard core party supporters point out that Club President Dr Pranob Dasgupta and secretary Kalyan Majumdar are symbolically present with practically no contribution to the club. Former players, well wishers, are saddened at the way the situation unfolded with several supporters getting injured. Is there a way out, only time will tell.
