Petrol, diesel and cooking gas prices hit the roof, people out in the streets to protest

Protests rocked Bengal as people came out on the streets after petrol, diesel and gas prices hit the roof over the last one week. The prices of petrol crossed the century mark while diesel neared the three figure mark and prices of cooking gas increased by over Rs 430 leaving the middle class and common man in dire situations. People across various parts of the state and country blamed the Centre and state government for the spiraling rise in prices.
